Mainland Cartridge Works Inc. has been involved in the cartridge recycling business for 7 years now. In that time we have seen numerous changes in technology. Our laser remanufacturing facility is equipped with all the latest technology to insure that we produce only the highest of quality toner cartridges. A brief description of the recycling process is outlined below.

Each cartridge is completely disassembled and every component is inspected for wear — hopper, waste bin, wiper blade, drum, magnetic rollers, doctor blade, and all other internal parts. Cleaning comes next with compressed air that's triple-filtered for contaminants, oil, and moisture. Our toner dust collection system (the best in our industry) captures and filters all toner dust — leaving our facility (and the environment) as spotless as can be. All worn components are then replaced. All the new components meet or exceed original manufacturer specifications.

The cartridge is then refilled — with exactly the same amount of toner that it originally contained. Freshly-filled, the cartridge is carefully sealed (just like the original) and a small amount of toner is placed on the roller inside the cartridge so the cartridge can be tested. Fully assembled, the cartridge is adjusted and inspected for cleanliness and integrity. Test pages are printed — in the same model laser printer it was designed for.

The cartridge is then heat-sealed in light blocking, heavy gauge plastic bags which are then inserted into remanufactured cartridge boxes — returnable to us when your cartridges need remanufacturing again.
